“So in a league where you can’t crash the boards without bumping into a millionaire but loyalty is as rare as a player without a tattoo, let me get this straight: To ensure the happiness of Anthony, who wants nothing to do with us in Colorado, the Nuggets are going to mess with Billups, who has always been and will always be one of us. It makes zero sense. The team is doing Billups wrong.”

nights out: american idiot april took me to see american idiot for my bday.  it was really fantastic to hear the chorus version of green day songs.  understandably not much in the way of plot, but other than that, it was a really well orchestrated show with lots of aneurysm inducing visual stimuli. american idiot tells the story of johnny and his two best friends, will and tunny.  the show follows johnny, the jesus of suburbia, as he searches for something to care about while will becomes a father and tunny joins the army.   the majority of the songs are from the american idiot album, with a couple coming from 21st century breakdown.  as a nice surprise, the show ended with a full cast version of time of your life.   playing at the st. james theater, 44th street between 8th av and broadway.
